Day One: Safety, Insight & Conection

Introducing your

Facilitators

Tory Pino, M.Ed.

Tory Pino, M.Ed., is a Registered Psychologist with more than a decade of experience helping individuals cultivate healthier and more connected relationships. As a long‑time psychologist with Transcend Psychological & MacEwan University’s Wellness & Psychological Services, Tory has supported clients through a wide range of relational, emotional, and life‑transition challenges. He strives to ensure that his services are strongly grounded in contemporary research, customized to suit the needs of each client, and practiced with compassion. 
 
Tory’s clinical background includes extensive experience providing individual and couples counselling, group work, alongside years of supervision in graduate‑level counselling programs at the University of Alberta and City University. His training includes Gottman Method Couples Therapy, as well as advanced workshops on communication, stress, trauma, emotional regulation, and relational dynamics. This combination allows him to bring both depth and pragmatism to his work, translating complex psychological concepts into simple, actionable tools.
 
Tory is known for a style that is engaging, relatable, and infused with humour. He has remained committed to supporting people in strengthening resilience, deepening connection, and navigating conflict with intention and kindness. He brings this same spirit to the couples weekend—creating a space where partners can slow down, reconnect, and learn skills that support lasting closeness.

Cassandra Kleefman, MC

Cassandra, M.C., is a Registered Psychologist and sexual health expert. She helps individuals and couples move beyond old patterns and into deeper intimacy, pleasure, and connection. Her approach blends science, story, and grounded guidance with the warmth and humor that make vulnerable conversations feel safe.
 
Her clinical focus centers on sexual health and relational wellbeing. She supports people navigate a variety of issues, including desire differences, intimacy blocks, pelvic pain, infidelity repair, erectile challenges, and the emotional dynamics that shape how people relate to one another. Her work is experientially based, evidence-backed, and embodied, inviting clients to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with themselves and each other.
 
Cassandra holds a Master in Counselling, a certificate in Intensive Sex Therapy, and Sexual Health and Pelvic Health certificates from the University of Alberta. She has additional training in EMDR, the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy for Individuals and Couples.
 
At Transcend Together retreats, she aims to create a supportive space designed to deepen intimacy and expand pleasure. Her goal is to help partners feel informed and empowered as they build the kind of relationship they want to return home to.
